Fear and Loathing the Anza Borrego

Chase the Rabbit

The temperature said 115 degrees at about 11:00 am. We went for a hike in search of non-existant cool water streams. Water sleeps. The Rattle Snake took the day off. No motorcycles passed through Borrego  Springs on this day. I did see a few the next day, none of the off road variety. I recommend Jilbertos Taco Shop located at 658 Palm Canyon Drive, just west of the city center circle. They have homemade beans and tortillas for their Burritos. It makes a difference. Metal beasts and monsters dotted the horizons and made for interesting adventures in unbearable humid-less furnace heat. Somebody put some effort into the art. I love the Anza Borrego desert for all it's wonders.
