Just wanted to again sincerely thank everyone who donated at the fundraiser, donated online, or who was able to make it to Camron's funeral today. Thank you! We did pretty good and we were able to present the collections to the family, including some large pictures of Camron (portraits and riding shots) which I'm sure his daughter will appreciate as she grows up and remembers her father as the loving and caring smiling person that he was.
We're certainly not an "exclusive" group of riders, damn near anyone is welcome. Many attend our Gasser Lounge / Lady Hump rides and other wild events, some just a few, some so many we're tired of your face! (kidding). Camron had been riding along with us for approx. 2 years and those have all been great times filled with great memories. Thank you Camron for spending the time with us. You will be missed, but not forgotten.
And it wouldn't be a ride unless somewhere along the route someone had a minor break-down right?
Couple nut twists and we're back in business, aye Larry?
Ran into fellow Chop Cult member 13Clicks at the Long Beach Cycle Swap 8/25 and he was taggin' up the tank on a bike he's trying to sell. I told him I'd shot it and post it up here if anyones interested?
If you need a bike today...
"Dirt cheap and I'm loosing $... Your gain.
Suzuki Savage Chop
75-80mph all day.
Voodoo Vintage custom hardtail frame built for this motor.
All paperwork is current and everything works.
Starts every time.
Great bike for the $.
Sits low... Ladies could throw a leg over and touch without a prob."
Our good friend Jake (Lady Hump / Gasser Lounge regular when he lived in So Cal) had his bike stolen from a College Campus in Denton, Texas yesterday. He bought this bike while he was pounding sand in Afghanistan, fighting for this country, and rebuilt the fucker when he came home stateside! Now some thief has robbed him of her?!?! Bike has a olive/green painted frame, EVO motor and DNA Springer. Some other recognizable parts (see pictures above). If you see this bike or parts thereof, drop a dime and report this theft.
UPDATE: BIKE HAS BEEN RECOVERED!!!
Thanks to everyone who reposted and blasted this info on Chop Cult, Instagram, Facebook, etc. The bike was located by Police abandoned in an area near where it was stolen from. Eye witnesses said it was stolen using a tow truck in broad daylight and Jake reports the thief filled it with gas before dumping it (he parked it near empty the day prior). GOOD NEWS!!!
Really great so see so many people show up after work just to drop off some money, have a quick drink, or hang out for a couple hours. Really pleased with how many Hazzard County veterans showed their faces throughout the night and dudes show up we haven't seen in what seem like (but probably isn't) years. To all the regulars and irregulars, Thanks for coming out. Like Vinnie said, "We know what tonight is about..." Indeed.
Everyone planning on riding with us to the Funeral on Friday 8/30 we're meeting at the Gasser Lounge, 1500 Aviation Blvd. Redondo Beach, CA at 9:00 am, KSU 9:30. Join us for the ride.
If you can only make it out for the Funeral and not the ride, we understand that too. The Funeral will be at Olive Lawn Memorial Park, located at: 13926 La Mirada Blvd., La Mirada CA. Graveside Service at 11:00 AM
Below: Pics from the benefit night
The Donations link below (in the previous Lady Hump post) will stay active. Any monies gathered before Fridays Funeral will be presented to the family then. Monies collected after that will be forwarded to the family. Thank you.
This week $2 Tuesday is "$3 Tuesday" and every drink sold is a $1 donation to the family to help pay for the funeral expenses. Thanks to everyone who's donated so far (online or at the bar), every dollar helps. Believe it.
SOUTH WHITTIER - Authorities Wednesday identified a 37-year-old La Mirada man who died in a motorcycle crash on Telegraph Road early Tuesday.
Camron Gasser died at the scene of (8/20) Tuesday’s 7 a.m. crash at Telegraph Road and Gunn Avenue, Los Angeles County Department of Coroner Assistant Chief of Operations Ed Winter said.
He was westbound on Telegraph Road when his Harley-Davidson collided with a sedan making a left turn from eastbound Telegraph Road onto Gunn Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Al Perez said.
The driver of the sedan, a 27-year-old La Habra man, was not hurt, he said.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation and witnesses were being sought, however no arrests or citations were initially made in connection with the fatal collision.
Here's a few more pics of Camron from last years Escape to Hazzard County group camping trip, lurking in the back (left).

Ok, here's the info on the Benefit and the Funeral >>>
Tuesday AUG. 27th at the Gasser Lounge from 5pm till close
We'll be there raising money for Camron's family. This money is going to the burial expenses. Everyone's welcome to come on down, donate if you can, or simply buy a drink or two as a portion of all sales will be donated to the family.
I'll also have a stack of 2012 Lady Hump photography books for sale on Tuesday at the Gasser (several pages within have pictures of Camron). I will add the sales (not just the profits, but the entire sales) of these to his donation fund. Even if you already own a copy, buy another and give it to a friend as a gift.

Pictures of Camron from 2011 and 2012 (various rides)
Camron Gasser was one of our own. He attended several Lady Hump / Gasser Lounge rides, events, and parties and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He had a pretty unique last name that instantly made him our friend when we first met up together!!! Seriously, how rad is it to have "Gasser" as a last name? Way. We're putting something together (a benefit/funeral expense fundraiser at the bar ASAP, probably Tuesday night) for his family/daughter and we plan on attending the funeral next Friday en mass. We'll have information posted asap here (dates/times/etc.) on the Hump and the Gasser Lounge Instagram account. If you can attend either event for Camron, or just swing by the Gasser Lounge and tell the bartender you want to drop off some help $$$, any donation would be greatly appreciated by his family who are obviously totally devastated by this terrible tragedy.
Lady Hump Magazine Co. has set up online donations for Camron also. All monies collected through this, in addition to what we collect on Tuesday will go to his family to assist with his funeral expenses.

Tonights the night. I made a bunch of FREE t-shirts to give-away for those of you quick enough to correctly answer some trivia questions at our Joe Strummer celebration tonight on Punk Rock Wednesday! Shirts wont be sold...
He was born John Graham Mellor.
Born in Ankara, Turkey.
The first show performing as the Clash was at the Black Swan aka The Mucky Duck and they opened for the Sex Pistols.
The Clash's highest charting single was "Rock The Casbah" from their fifth album, Combat Rock.

Or just ride down and have a drink with your friends...
(Hey guys! It's Jay McJay, from New York. This is my first post as the new East Coast Correspondent, thought I'd share a bit about my Strange Days experience)
A few weeks ago the boys from Brooklyn decided to get
weird in the woods, so we headed out to the Strange Days 3event in Vernon, NJ. It started with a Show Class Magazine Release Party at Vernon Inn Tiki Bar,
and ended with us camping for three days at Ricky Farm with a musicfest, bbq, chopper parts swap, cycle games,
vendor swag and some lucky bastard winning "Voodoo Child", the1972 Yamaha XS650 Chopper built by Retrofit Cycles.
We're having a party for him at the Gasser Lounge for Punk Rock Wednesday tomorrow!
I've been working on the prizes for those of you knowledgeable enough to answer some trivia questions correctly... (see below)
And I can also tell you we're already planning events for next year. Now I know everyone is already asking me whens the next Hazzard County, and it's in mid-November. We'll announce the actual date once everything is set in stone, blessed by the Pope, and sprinkled with glitter.
But we're also letting those creative juices flow into next year (2014) and we'll be adding several more events to our already jam packed calendar of stupidity! The first of which I'm pleased to announce is the Comb Over Classica; some near-outlaw shit racing right there!
35 miles of danger, spills, and speeding tickets await you!
(but don't crash)
Trophies, Glory Shots, Bikini Waxing, and Motorcycles all rolled up into one great race!
(you'd think we're joking, but you should know us by now. We're totally serious. For reals.)
The dates going to be kept under lock and key because we don't want smokey laying booby trap fuzz nuzzles (radar) along the course... you'll know when we announce it...
